Practice description
Dr. Wenner received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors at the Florida Institute of Technology and graduated medical school from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda. She completed her family medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and dermatology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Dr. Wenner is a combat veteran and has served two tours in Iraq with the 31st Combat Support Hospital and the 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. She was awarded the Bronze Star medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Combat Action Badge. She recently completed 17 years of active duty as Chief of the Madigan Army Medical Center Dermatology Service. Dr. Wenner is board certified in dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the South Puget Sound Dermatology Society and Association of Military Dermatologists. Dr. Wenner enjoys clinical and surgical dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology with a special interest in laser procedures. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors – gardening, running and boating and on the weekends and evenings can usually be found at an athletic field watching one of her three children playing baseball, soccer and basketball.
