Submit “virtual visits” and refill requests online through HealthLens’s secure telemedicine platform. Click “Start Now” to create a HealthLens account and submit a visit or a request. Click “Sign In” if you already have a HealthLens account.
There is an upfront fee to submit a visit or request but this fee is typically covered by most insurance plans. To learn more about using insurance to cover your HealthLens visit, check out our cost & insurance page.
Let us know who you are. Fill out a brief questionnaire about your medical history. Then, select a provider and pharmacy.
Answer a few questions and upload 1-3 sharply focused photos of your condition. Photos should show the location and the features (close-up) of the condition.
Photos can be uploaded directly from your smartphone or transferred to your computer and uploaded from there.
Within 48 hours your provider will respond with a diagnosis and treatment plan. If your treatment plan includes a prescription, it will be automatically sent to your pharmacy.
If, for any reason, you cannot take that prescription, simply notify your provider by sending him or her a message using the built-in messenger. Your provider will recommend an alternative treatment.
If your treatment plan requires an office visit for further tests or a procedure, your provider will instruct you to make an office appointment. You will receive priority scheduling.
Direct messaging with your provider will be available for 7 days after your visit.
Smartphones are great devices for taking photos of skin conditions. Just make sure there is adequate light and the pictures are in focus. For more information on how to take quality photos, go here.
