Payments Help

  • How do I get paid?

HealthLens will charge your patient’s credit card for the online fee you set, and immediately deposit your fee into your bank account minus a $10 HealthLens service fee.

If the patient enters their insurance information, you may bill their carrier for the full amount of a regular office visit. If you successfully bill your patient’s insurance, you must refund your patient any portion of the online fee that is covered by their insurance less their copay.

  • Does the patient get billed if you are unable to make a diagnosis because of a low quality photo or incomplete data?

The patient is billed when they submit the visit. As soon as you make a diagnosis and submit it, your bank account will receive the fee. If you cannot make a diagnosis, the patient is not charged and their fee is refunded.

There are three ways to provide a “No Charge” service. First, you can close the visit without charging the patient; second, you can choose “No Charge” when submitting a diagnosis; and third, you can return payment to the patient any time after you diagnose by selecting “REFUND VISIT CHARGE” at the bottom of the “Visit Details” page.

  • How do I setup my HealthLens account so I get fees automatically sent to my bank account?

When you sign up, we ask for your bank’s routing number and your account number. This enable us to automatically, and immediately send the service fee to your bank account.
